The Cabs

the cabs are a Japanese post-rock/math-rock trio recognised for their emotionally intense sound, intricate rhythmic structures, and dynamic shifts between fragility and explosive force. Emerging from Japan's underground alternative scene in the late 2000s, the band built a dedicated following through the tightly interlocked interplay of guitar, vocals, and precise, driving drums.

During their initial run, THE CABS released three albums, positioning themselves as a notable presence within Japan's independent rock landscape. Their releases and live performances earned the band a reputation for both technical precision and cathartic energy.

After disbanding in 2013, THE CABS remained highly regarded among fans of Japan's math, emo and post-rock scenes. In 2025, the band officially reunited, with their Japan reunion tour selling out across all dates and culminating in an immediately sold-out show at Tokyo's Toyosu PIT (3,000 capacity) - a clear demonstration of their enduring audience demand.

Now fully active again, THE CABS are looking to bring their intense and emotionally resonant live performance to new audiences internationally. The spring of 2026 sees them touring the UK/Europe for the first time ever.
