The beat sits deep, the bassline breathes and the vocals never rush the emotion. The Neo Soul Sessions brings the warmth and groove of late 90s and early 00s soul to Boisdale of Canary Wharf with a live-band show shaped around feel, phrasing and musicianship.

Drawing on the music of D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott and Maxwell, the night moves between smoky slow-burn grooves, jazz-inflected rhythm and the kind of songwriting that made neo soul feel both intimate and quietly revolutionary.

This was music that pushed R&B away from polish and back toward texture: live instrumentation, layered harmonies, hip-hop influence and emotional honesty at the centre of every track. The arrangements here lean into that same spirit, giving the songs room to stretch, settle and build naturally.

More than nostalgia, this is a celebration of a movement that reshaped contemporary soul and still echoes through modern R&B today.
