Formed in 1962 by brothers Norman and Ralston Grant in Falmouth, Jamaica, the Twinkle Brothers are one of the most respected and enduring names in roots reggae. Rising to prominence in the 1970s through their work with producer Bunny Lee, the band released a string of influential albums such as Rasta Pon Top and Praise Jah, delivering hard-hitting rhythms, spiritual messages, and deep cultural insight.

Their powerful and conscious tracks such as 'Jahovia'; 'Never Get Burn'; 'Since I Throw the Comb Away'; and 'Give Rasta Praise'; have become classics of the genre, earning the group a loyal international following. These songs showcase the Twinkle Brothers’ signature blend of militant basslines, soulful harmonies, and unwavering devotion to Rastafari.

Since the 1980s, the band has been led by frontman Norman Grant, who continues to drive the project forward from their base in the UK. The current lineup features leading figures in UK reggae:

Black Steel – highly respected guitarist and longtime contributor to the reggae scene.
Dub Judah – influential bassist, producer, and dub artist known for his deep roots style.

With a career spanning over six decades, the Twinkle Brothers remain a vital force in reggae music, performing and recording with a consistent message of truth, resistance, and upliftment. Their timeless sound continues to inspire fans across generations and borders.
