THE VOODOO ROOMS 18TH BIRTHDAY HALLOWEEN PARTY

Voodoo's turning 18 and we're throwing a huge Halloween party to celebrate! Since 2007 we've taken huge pride in our live music, cocktails, and atmosphere - so what could be better than a fancy dress cocktail party with our good friends Black Cat Bone and Dear Heather tearing up the Ballroom? Join us as we celebrate 18 years of opulence and mischief with nostalgic drinks - expect some throwback teenage classics. We'll have DJs in the main bar keeping the vibes impeccable and some familiar faces from throughout the years will be helping us make the night a special one!

We're also launching Voodoo merch with an exclusive run of anniversary t-shirts which will be available to buy in the lead up and on the night! Announcement to follow shortly - watch this space.

Fancy Dress is highly encouraged and we'll have prizes for the best costumes! We'll also have a photobooth set up for you to jog your memory of the night if it's a little hazy the morning after (licence holder's note: please drink responsibly).

Black Cat Bone are a band near and dear to Voodoo's heart. They've been playing Halloween gigs here for years so when we first started planning our party, inviting the band back was a no-brainer. Black Cat Bone are a band that wears their influences proudly, but their ability to blend these inspirations into something vibrant and fresh sets them apart. With an enigmatic frontman, a blues-driven backbone, they are a devastatingly effective live act. When you see Black Cat Bone live, you'll feel the primal force of their music: thunderous guitar riffs, pounding drums, prowling, fuzzy basslines, searing harmonica and a haunting voice that carries the ecstasy and agony of a lifetime.

Dear Heather played their first gig here in January 2024. With two members of the band working behind the bar at the same time, it's been a huge pleasure watching them grow a passionate local following playing sellout gigs in venues across Edinburgh and Glasgow. Dear Heather are well-known for their fun, theatrical and tongue-in-cheek live shows. Their eclectic sound appeals to fans of everyone from Beastie Boys to Pavement, The Beatles, The Pixies, and The Beach Boys. They've been championed by The Scotsman, Reyt Good Magazine, Discovery Scotland and enjoyed airplay on Amazing Radio, CamGlen and Welsh station Radio Wigwam.
