More information about thistle tickets

"thistle. haven't yet released an album, but 'it's nice to see you, stranger' makes me want one" Stereogum
"A river of sludge oozing out of your speakers" Clash
"A heady mix of shoegaze, indie rock and hardcore that combines to incredible effect" Rolling Stone UK

Spawning lead singles including 'wishing coin', 'fleur rouge' and its title-track, thistle. have swiftly captured the imagination of the press landscape on both sides of the Atlantic, with key champions such as Stereogum, Clash, The Line Of Best Fit, Rolling Stone UK and So Young all throwing their support behind the band, in addition to early spins across the BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X airwaves from key tastemakers Steve Lamacq, Deb Grant and Tom Ravenscroft.
Armed with a lo-fi, introspective yet hardcore sound, having originated from a garage in Northampton, the trio are newly partnered with Venn Records, an independent label renowned for fostering some of the UK's most boundary-pushing punk, hardcore, and alt-rock acts such as High Vis, Meryl Streak and Bob Vylan. Having also ticked off supports alongside the likes of Man / Woman / Chainsaw, as well as capacity shows at The Great Escape Festival last week, thistle. are primed for festival slots at the likes of Left Of The Dial in the coming months and a support run alongside Cryogeyser as they continue to cement their thrilling live reputation. Speaking ahead of their EP's arrival, frontman Cameron Godfrey revealed: "We're all super proud of all of the songs on this and it's taken a lot for us to end up with the final project, with many obstacles on the way, as there are for many bands that have to balance their jobs, family life and mental health. I think the struggle shows in the music. Hopefully in a good way." thistle.'s 'it's nice to see you, stranger' (EP) is out now via VENN Records and available on all digital platforms.
