The choirs will perform separately and together for some numbers and we think will be a lot of fun and entertainment for all. The Treverva Male Choir celebrate 90 years since being formed in 1936, by Edgar Kessel MBE, in the small village of Treverva, near Falmouth. Over the years the choir has sung in many locations across UK, including St Pauls Cathedral and The Royal Alber Hall and Internationally. They sing a mixture of traditional numbers and some modern pieces. The joint concert is with the Oggymen, Shanty group who were formed in 2010 to sing the classic Cornish songs. They have also sung in many UK venues including the Glastonbury Festival in 2025 and at the Hall for Cornwall on St Piran's Day in 2026. The common links with the two choirs are Rob Norman, who is the outstanding musical director of both choirs, and Harry Glasson who composed many of the songs that both choirs sing. Harry will also be performing at this concert.
