Utterly Fuzzled #7.5: Bhajan Boy and more

Bhajan Bhoy (real name Ajay Saggar)'s music ploughs a peak time psychedelic furrow; from lazy interstellar ragas to lysergic electronic music, mellow psychedelic experimentation and all sorts of kosmische mutations. Ajay (Bhajan Bhoy) has previously performed in legendary groups such as Dandelion Adventure and Donkey.

Piró is the project of Alex, a musical individual from the fearsome city of extreme seasons and the cierzo wind, affectionately nicknamed Zaragoza. A proud member of the city's struggling DIY scene, his melodies navigate folk music with diverse roots, primarily driven by the guitar.

Lou Richards' album 'The Sage and the Rose' was released last year and is a beautiful piece of work from the York-based singer-songwriter, Buddhist and mother. Themes of relationship, motherhood and the soothing power of the natural world abound in her songs.

Andy Abbott is an artist, musician and writer who lives in West Yorkshire, UK. His recent output as 'Andrew DR Abbott' centres on instrumental compositions for 8- string baritone acoustic guitar. Previously, Andrew was in That Fucking Tank among other bands.

Jo Dale appears playing solo bass compositions that she has written recently on an acoustic bass bought in her lunchbreak in late 2025: expect drone-plus-melody landscapes. Jo is vocalist and bassist in Knitting Circle, was founding member of the all-female noughties anarcha-punk band No Fit State and co-leads York's Utterly Fuzzled thing. Trooper.

Utterly Fuzzled are York-based DIY promoters, we seek to offer a safe environment for everyone to come together and enjoy music of many varieties. All ages are welcome but under 16s should be accompanied by an adult.

Fulfordgate Social Club offers a friendly and welcoming environment. The gig room has two toilet cubicles which can be used by anyone who needs them. We request that anyone who feels able to do so uses the men's toilets which are accessible by going through the bar.
