UTTERLY FUZZLED has been putting together events at Fulfordgate Social Club (York) since May 2025: the people that come are lovely, the club is lovely, the music is sonic, come along to our weekender and have a lovely time. It is our 10th event.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Milky Wimpshake, Silk Cuts and Nervous Twitch
SATURDAY: Objections, Knitting Circle, Count Florida, The Bricks, Pope Joan
MILKY WIMPSHAKE: Formed in 1993, lots of songs about lovelorn forlorn situations, also some politics and that. Their hearts beat faster than techno.
SILK CUTS: From Exeter, with Pippa of the world-renowned Cavern Club on shared vocals, expect melodies, harmonies and sensitivities: 'C86-influenced indie'
NERVOUS TWITCH: Hook-filled fuzzy new-wave pop songs from Leeds, one of the leading lights of the garage glam gasping garters!
OBJECTIONS: Ex-members of Bilge Pump and Baby Harp Seal with a current Nape Necker present a rhythmic puzzle that resolves in gloriously satisfying catharsis
KNITTING CIRCLE: York is a town and in that town lives Knitting Circle who have psychokinetic agitprop don't-stop crop to drop: groove on the harvest, scythe wielders!
COUNT FLORIDA: From Glasgow arrives a quartet with melodic currency in addition to some 'ex-members of' cred, think Pod-era Breeders, Galaxy 500, Butterglory
THE BRICKS: York is a town and in that town lives The Bricks who rock hard, riffs on the guitar go 'blap-blang-brrrrng' and the vocals object to babe taking too long
POPE JOAN: Ex-Casino Volante solo act from Leeds with synths and angsts, think thoughts if you want to
Fulfordgate Social Club offers a friendly and welcoming environment. The gig room has two toilet cubicles which can be used by anyone who needs them. We request that anyone who feels able to do so uses the men's toilets which are accessible by going through the bar.
