More information about VAINGLORIOUS: Stevie Vayne's autobiography launch tickets

"Stevie Vayne is a legend of the Punk-Rock’n’Roll world, also known as Stevie Hulme, a global player in the world of House Music. His autobiography, ‘Vainglorious: A Punk In The House’ will be available on general release from Nov 4th, and also available in numbered and signed format at this pre-release concert extravaganza on Nov 2nd at The Brudenell, where a £15 ticket will not only grant entry but it will also secure you a copy of the book.
Stevie was born in Kirkstall, brought up in Whinmoor, went to school at John Smeaton’s and spent much of his teenage years hanging out around the streets of Croggy with the likes of the Abrasive Wheels and ace writer Mick McCann - ‘Scoffs Corner, The Meth & St Mary’s Youth Clubs - teenage mischief in our own back yard!’
Stevie’s band The Dead Vaynes  later known as The Vaynes, released 3 Albums and 5 EP Singles. He toured across the UK and Europe with some of the best, most notably with his friend Johnny Thunders, and with countless others, including The Gun Club and The Mission.
‘Vainglorious’ begins with the Punk-Rock’n’Roll years and Stevie’s life in Leeds, leading to a ‘cosmic shift’ and his dominance of the House Music Scene, from organising the legendary parties of The Corn Exchange to running Subliminal Records in New York and then becoming a Director at the world’s most famous Nightclub, Pacha in Ibiza.
The launch begins at 7:15pm with a Q&A session and some acoustic songs from Stevie. Then, throughout the evening, friends of Stevie will play and sing a few numbers.
Special guests include: THE ROSE OF AVALANCHE – SALVATION – XLERATORS – ANDY PROWLER – NICK TOCZEK – BILLY MASTERS (FAKE) – DEAN E. – MICK LAKE – MARK GOULDEN – SID CRAMP culminating in the last ever live performance of THE VAYNES!
Initial advance tickets at £15 include a copy of the autobiography and a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support. BUT HURRY! – This offer might not last if the demand becomes too great!
Birthdays will be celebrated – It's Stevie Vayne's birthday, also many happy returns to Dean E. and to original punks, Mick Hart and Pozz, (who will be turning 65).
Old friends will lovingly be remembered – R.I.P. Johnny Thunders & Mick Vayne.

If you were involved in the Leeds rock scene of the 80s and 90s, this is one night you really don’t want to miss!"
