Have you ever wondered what our Saturday Music Club is like? Join our team of brilliant SMC for our Young Musician's Summer School, focusing on film music. This is a 5-day intensive course will give young people an introduction to film composition and the tools needed to experiment making your own. The group will work towards composing music to accompany the silent film 'A Trip to the Moon,' culminating in a live performance soundtracking the film for friends and family.
Snacks and drinks provided, and pizzas on the final day. Please bring your own packed lunch to sessions Monday-Thursday.
Dates: Monday 17th - Friday 21st August
Times: 10:00-16:30 Monday-Thursday, then a performance for friends and family on Friday at 13:00 (students will be expected to come in at 10:00 sharp on the Friday).
Musical Ability: We welcome all abilities and instruments to take part in this course. You can bring your own instruments, but we have keyboards, guitars, bass, violins, drums and percussion on site which can be used if you don't have an instrument.
Ages: 12-18
Cost: £150 for the full course. Bursaries are available for those on lower income - please email learning@bandonthewall.org to arrange this.
