Workshop: Embroidery on Wool: The Basics Made Easy and Fun!
14 JUNE, 09:00H - 12:00H, DOURO RIVER ROOM

Description: This workshop is designed to introduce you to the basics of embroidery on wool in a simple and enjoyable way.

WS level: Beginner – No previous embroidery knowledge required.

Materials to bring:
· Knitted swatch (approx. 24x24 cm, it must fit in the hoop)
· Water-soluble tracing paper (stabilizer)
· Embroidery hoop (recommended: wooden hoop, 22 cm diameter)
· Marker
· Yarn – DK, fingering and worsted weight yarns work fine
· Chenille needles (sharp needles suitable for wool)
· Scissor

The yarn that you will work in the workshop will be gifted by one of the sponsors of the festival.

Homework: knit a swatch approx. 24x24 cm in stockinette in DK yarn. (it must fit in the hoop).
