The artist will perform at the festival on July 14th, 2026, in Cascais at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, where he will present his new album “Who Is The Sky?” (September 2025) and also perform classics from his solo career and Talking Heads. David Byrne is an unmissable, multidisciplinary, and internationally renowned artist. He returns to Ageas Cooljazz for a new performance full of the theatricality so characteristic of the artist. In this new work, David Byrne once again brings celebration to the stage. The song “Everybody Laughs” is contagious, while inviting the audience to think collectively. This idea of sharing is one of the main points of the new album “Who Is The Sky?” (September 2025), reflected throughout 12 tracks in human connection, everyday experiences, as well as feelings such as hope.

 

Portuguese artist Bia Maria makes her debut at Ageas Cooljazz on July 14th, in a special night where she performs by choice of headliner David Byrne. Bia Maria will present her latest album “Qualquer Um Pode Cantar”, a work in which she explores traditional folk singing, fado, and bossa nova, affirming a singular musical identity within the national landscape. With a sound that balances groundness and dreamy lyricism, Bia Maria, native from Ourém, debuted in 2019 with the EP “Mal Me Queres, Bem Te Quero”. This was followed by her first full-length album, “Traição” (2020), the EP “do Roberto” (2022), and in 2024, “Qualquer Um Pode Cantar”, a record featuring tracks such as “Marcha da Paridade” and “Roupa Velha”, further reinforcing influences that bridge fado, pop, bossa nova and traditional folk singing.

Ageas Cooljazz returns from July 8th to 31st, 2026, at Hipódromo Manuel Possolo and Parque Marechal Carmona.

 

Ageas Cooljazz has 4 Concerts per night.

Doors opening at 7pm, the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM begin at 8pm at the Parque Marechal Carmona Amphitheater then on the Ageas Stage, the First Concert followed by the Main Concert on the same stage. After the Main Concert on the Ageas Stage ends, the Late Nights start at the Parque Marechal Carmona Amphitheater.
