One of the highlights of 2026's Ageas Cooljazz is the announcement of the eight night, adding a day to the festival's usual 7. For such a special moment, a performance by a world icon is confirmed: Gilberto Gil. On July 8th, the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo will host the historic composer, instrumentalist, and central figure of Brazilian culture. At 86 years old and with a career spanning over 60 years, Gilberto Gil is one of the leading names in Brazilian music, having made a definitive contribution to the Tropicália movement. Throughout the years, the artist's work has highlighted messages about philosophy, religion, politics, romance and Brazilian daily life.

 

Brazilian singer and songwriter Maria Luiza Jobim will make her debut at Ageas Cooljazz on July 8th. The artist will present her discography at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo, in Cascais, bringing a sound that navigates the softness of MPB with indie irreverence, wrapped in a jazz atmosphere. She introduced herself to the world with the album “Casa Branca” in 2019, already showcasing a preference for a delicate sound. Her second album arrived in 2023, “Azul”, a project in which contemporary poetry earned a permanent spot in Maria Luiza Jobim’s productions. Descendant from one of the greatest legacies in the history of Brazilian music, Maria Luiza Jobim will make her solo debut at Ageas Cooljazz on July 8th.

The Ageas Cooljazz returns from July 8th to 31st, 2026 to the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo and Parque Marechal Carmona.

 

Ageas Cooljazz has 4 Concerts per night.

Doors opening at 7pm, the Cascais Jazz Sessions by Smooth FM begin at 8pm at the Parque Marechal Carmona Amphitheater then on the Ageas Stage, the First Concert followed by the Main Concert on the same stage. After the Main Concert on the Ageas Stage ends, the Late Nights start at the Parque Marechal Carmona Amphitheater.
