More Information about Sober Sundays

Sober Sundays formed at Bath Spa University in 2021. The five piece began making a name for themselves in the local scene, through their energetic and chaotic live performance. They built a strong fan base through their lyric-driven songwriting, focused on past experiences and feelings as adolescents. The band have played various cities across the UK; Bristol, Bath, Manchester, Cardiff, London, Southampton and beyond representing their home city in a twinned town in Germany.

Taking influences from the likes of King Krule and Hard Life, Sober Sundays create a jangly soundscape on which the frontman, Finn Hustler, can say his piece, with the full force and backing of the band. Their music references both current UK interests across genres, including, Loyle Carner, English Teacher and Mount Kimbe, as well as past British heroes such as The Streets, Arctic Monkeys and Lause the Cat.

Realising the importance of live music, and how it creates a loyal and ‘real’ fanbase, Sober Sundays intends to continue ‘perfecting’ and performing their set to reach a larger community of like-minded grassroot gig goers, nationwide. Accompanying this will be a new set of releases (produced by Oliver Baldwin, credits include PJ Harvey, BCNR, Dry Cleaning, A. Savage) aimed to reach a new audience wherever that may be.
