Under 5s Day is coming back to Himley this summer with Duggee!

This year we have a very special guest making personal appearances at intervals throughout the day – Duggee - a fun-loving friendly brown dog who runs the Squirrel Club, from hit TV show Hey Duggee.*

This popular fun filled event runs for 5 hours, jam-packed with entertainment specifically designed for children under 5 years old.

Enjoy baby and toddler sessions throughout the day and enjoy all the fun of the seaside at Himley’s Beach.

Activities include a small petting zoo, Lego for younger children, miniature railway, giant tortoises, Punch & Judy shows, arts and crafts, funfair, sandpit and main stage with interactive singing and dancing with Funtime Theatre.

Plus free taster sessions from Wild Earth Movement, Art Venturers, Jiggly Wrigglers, Little Kickers Football, Pop-up Play Village, Tumble Tots, mini first aid, DMBC Road Safety Team, Dudley Libraries, Story Rangers, Dudley Zoo & more. For children who need a bit of “time out” SENstation will offer a quiet space on the day.

Junior: (18 months to 5 years) £8

WOODLAND ADVENTURER junior ticket: (18 months to 5 years) £12 

(includes junior admission (18 months – 5 years), plus a bespoke Himley Hall gift bag worth over £12 (features an interactive animal trail activity, woodland animal cuddly toy, bottle of water.)

Toddlers: (6 months to 18 months) £6

Babies: (birth to 6 months) Free

Please note: To qualify for a free baby ticket, a family, adult or senior ticket needs to be purchased.

If the event does not sell out in advance prices at the gate on the day will be higher than the online prices. Tickets on the gate will be payable by card only.

Frequently asked questions

Does the entry fee cover all activities at the event?

Not all activities. Most will be included but some attractions e.g. funfair will charge a small fee.

Will you accept coach party bookings?

Yes. We offer two free tickets for coach party organisers. Please contact us at capa.events@dudley.gov.uk to let us know you need coach access.

Which entrance do we use to get in and out of Himley Hall?

Both the main gate and the West gate near the traffic lights on Himley Road will be open.

Is there any food available to buy onsite?

Yes. There are a range of street food vendors available on site.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, you may bring your own food if you wish. No alcohol is to be brought onsite as this is a family-friendly event. Please take all your litter with you and dispose of at home.

Are there toilet facilities available?

Yes, toilet provision, including disabled facilities.

Are there baby changing and breast feeding facilities available?

Yes.

Can I get a refund?

No refunds will be given unless cancelled by the organiser.

What will happen if it rains?

The event will still go ahead if it rains as most of the activities are under marquees.

Can I bring my dog?

No dogs will be allowed, except for assistance dogs.

Can I park on site?

Parking charge is £4 per car payable on arrival.

Are there cash machines on site?

No cash machines are on site at Himley Hall.

Are there any concessions on tickets?

There are no concessions.

Can I enter the event if I do not have a child?

No. This is an event specifically for children under 5 years.
